Breast Cancer Family History
My grandmother had Breast Cancer. It was a terrible time for the family but we never gave up. We always supported my grandmother and kept faith that she would get better. Eventually, after many treatments of chemotherapy, she was finally Breast Cancer free! Even though her hair hasn't grown back since all the chemo treatments, She's happier than ever and doesn't have a care in the world, she's just happy to be alive. After going through what i did with my grandmother, I've made a goal. That goal is to educate and make people aware of Breast cancer. I want to explain to others, that there is hope and to never give up. Not everybody who has Breast Cancer dies from it, my grandma is living proof of that.
Although breast cancer has killed many innocent people, there is still hope!
Breast Cancer is reduced by 2% each year in the years of 1999-2005. In 2011, there was approximately 2.6 million survivors of Breast Cancer in the United States (U.S Breast Cancer Statistics, NP). However, men can get Breast Cancer too! About 2,000 men get diagnosed with Breast Cancer each year (About Breast Cancer, NP). Although it's not as high as in women, men should also be aware of it.
